The short version
We respect your privacy deeply. We collect only what is needed to make Unhold work, never sell your data, and you can delete everything anytime.
What we collect
When you use Unhold, we store:
- Account info: Your email and password (encrypted) for login.
- Profile data: Your breakup date and no contact start date. Only visible to you.
- Daily check-ins: Your urge levels, moods, notes, and contact logs. Only visible to you.
- Community posts: Posted anonymously. Your username is never shown.
- Analytics: Anonymous usage data via Google Analytics (page views, button clicks). Never personally identifiable.
What we do not collect
No location data. No device fingerprinting. No reading your messages. No tracking you across the internet.
Anonymity in the community
When you post in the community, your post shows "Anonymous" and your no contact day count. No one, including other users, can see your username, email, or identifying info. We never reveal that information.
Your rights
You can:
- View all your data (it is all visible in the app)
- Edit any of it anytime in Settings
- Delete your entire account and all data with one click
- Request a data export by emailing hello@unholdapp.life
