Golden turmeric latte — mood boosting recipe for calm

A warming, anti-inflammatory drink for when you need comfort without caffeine. This is the 11 PM version of taking care of yourself.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oat milk (or any milk)
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ginger (fresh or powder)
  • Pinch of black pepper (activates turmeric)
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • Optional: tiny pinch of cardamom

Steps

  1. 1Warm the milk in a small saucepan over low heat. Do not boil.
  2. 2Add turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper.
  3. 3Whisk gently until combined and fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  4. 4Pour into a mug. Add honey.
  5. 5Drink slowly, with both hands around the mug.
